The space shuttle Discovery landed at Dulles Airport on Tuesday, April 17 to take the place of the space shuttle Enterprise at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

The museum continued to celebrate the arrival of the Discovery with a transfer ceremony on Thursday that featured several honored guests including John Glenn and other Discovery crew members.

On Monday, the Enterprise will be taken to New York on the same Boeing 747 that carried the Discovery on Tuesday.
