Seven Local Easter Egg Hunts

Here's where to go to hunt for eggs and have a family visit with the Easter Bunny—all within an easy drive from Centreville.

March 30, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. , Manassas Park. Flashlight Easter egg hunt for children ages 8-11. Cost is $5 per child and pre-registration is required at manassasparkcommunity.com.

March 31, 1-3 p.m. , Chantilly. Reservations required and the cost is $5 for children 3-7 years old. Adults free. Bring a basket. Participate in an egg roll, visit baby animals and create an Easter craft to take home. Egg hunts at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

March 31, 10 a.m.-12:20 p.m., Manassas Park. Babies one and under can search for eggs from 10 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Children 2 to 3 years old will hunt beginning at 10:20 a.m.; children ages 4 to 5 at 10:40 a.m. and children 5 to 6 at 11 a.m. Pre-registration is required at manassasparkcommunity.com.

April 3, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. , Centreville. Activities also include crafts, games, refreshments and photos with the Easter Bunny. Cost is $10 per child and open to children ages 2 to 8. Parents and grandparents are free. Credit cards accepted. For reservations, email bull_run@nvrpa.org, or call 703.631.0550

April 4, 10 a.m. , Lorton. $10 pre-registration required by email, pohick@nvrpa.org, or by phone at 703-339-610. Children ages 2 to 8 are invited to take photos and play games with the Easter Bunny. Over a 2,000 eggs will be hidden throughout the park and each egg will contain candy or a toy. Some eggs will contain top prizes including pool passes, mini-golf passes and tickets which can be redeemed for gift baskets. Children will be divided into different age groups.

April 7, 11 a.m. , Centreville. The popular family farm will celebrate with a visit from the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt and painting, and farm animals. One hundred percent of the profits will go to Northern Virginia Family Service. Cost is $4 per child, ages 2-6. Advance tickets will be available at 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, but are usually sold out within minutes. 

Ongoing, Saturdays and Sundays, Ticonderoga Farms, Chantilly. Come join the Easter Bunny for candy and toy-filled eggs. Some will be "golden goose eggs" with a prize. Slides, hayrides, visits with farm animals and other activities also available. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the hunt and bring a basket or bag for collecting eggs. Times vary, so check the website calendar
