A Chilly Dive for a Good Cause
Matt Brick jumps into Reston's Lake Anne to raise money for charity
Clad in a costume made to look like a brick wall and carrying a pizza box, Centreville businessman Matt Brick jumped into Reston's Lake Anne on Saturday as part of a fundraiser for charity.
Brick, the owner of Brick's Pizza in Centreville, set out to raise $2,000 for Camp Sunshine, which serves families who have a child with a life-threatening illness. It was his second year participating in the Freezin' for a Reason Virginia Polar Dip. He surpassed his fundraising goal, for the second year in a row. His fundraising page lists $2,201 in donations; he had aimed for $2,000. Over half of that amount came in over the past week.
