PHOTOS: Hurricane Sandy in Centreville and Chantilly

As schools close and public transit stops service, residents in Centreville and Chantilly are hunkering down to prepare for Hurricane Sandy and stay safe as the storm makes its way through Northern Virginia.
On Monday, rain and wind were picking up but some retailers were open in the area while others closed their doors.
Are you out getting last minute supplies? Helping neighbors secure areas prone to flooding?
We want to connect neighbors in Chantilly and Centreville, and share stories of storm preparation and aftermath. Upload your photos here!

Thanks for the pictures. Walking my dog this am in London Town, I did not see any damage, or even any trees down (a few branches, but nothing much). I think the dead or dying trees came down in the derechio, so everything left is relatively healthy.

Yes, I think we were pretty lucky in this area, especially compared to some of the more flood-prone nearby places. I think you are right about the derecho. I did snap a few more photos this morning, which I'll post later on (the ones currently up here are from Monday). Some downed power lines this morning, Bull Run Post Office Road closed off near the park entrance due to a tree in the middle of the road. If anyone sees something interesting while they're out and about, too, it would be great if they post here!
