Police: Man Charged with Speeding to Elude, Resisting Arrest

The following items are from recent police updates through Jan. 16 from the Sully and Fair Oaks police districts of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Pursuit (red on map), 1 a.m., Jan. 13, 13200 block of Lee Highway, An officer stopped a vehicle for possible DWI. Allegedly, the vehicle sped away from the officer who pursued. The vehicle was stopped a short distance away. George Lampman, 52, of Fairfax, was arrested and charged with speed to elude, resisting arrest, DWI-Drugs, refusal to provide blood sample and speeding.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
Burglary (blue on map), 4 a.m., Jan. 11, 13700 block of Springhaven Drive, A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Entry was made through a garage. The residents were alerted by an audible burglar alarm.
Burglary (blue on map), 4:15 a.m., Jan. 11, 3700 block of Vernacchia Drive, A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Entry was made through a garage.

- 13800 block of Country Crossing Street, diamond earrings and necklace from residence

- Little Rocky Run Circle/Water Springs Court, GPS from vehicle
- 5600 block of Stone Road, mugs from business
- 14600 block of Stone Crossing Court, jewelry from residence
- 13000 block of Bellerose Drive, wallet from vehicle
- 12700 block of Lee Highway, generator from business
- 4200 block of Stringfellow Road, four cell phones from school
