Stolen Car Chase Ends in Manorgate

Thief drove a stolen car from D.C. to the Manorgate community in Centreville.

A high-speed car chase that originated in the District of Columbia ended on a quiet Centreville cul-de-sac on the evening of July 4th.

After leaving 66, and heading south on 28, the man parked the late model, silver Dodge Charger in a driveway on La Petite Place and fled on foot while Fairfax County Police caught up with the suspect. Several K9 and helicopter units were dispatched during the manhunt.  

After fleeing nearly half a mile away, the suspect entered an open garage on Green Trails Court, where police cornered and took him into custody around 8 p.m.

Since this was a multi-jurisdiction case, the Virginia State police took custody of the suspect, and he was transferred to holding. As of publication time his name was not available.
