Student Discipline Meeting Set for Tuesday Night at Westfield High
Meeting is at 7 p.m. in the school lecture hall.
Centreville parents concerned about student discipline will want to attend a meeting on the topic scheduled for tonight at Westfield High School.
Employees, parents, and community members are invited to participate in Community Dialogues on Student Discipline, hosted by the Ad Hoc Community Committee on Student Rights and Responsibilities, part of the Fairfax County Council of PTAs.
The council hopes to obtain input and feedback on current Fairfax County Public School disciplinary practices and discuss the committee's preliminary recommendations to the School Board for changes to the Student Rights and Responsibilities handbook, according to an e-newsletter from the group that was sent out Tuesday. The Community Dialogue meetings will be held on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m. at Stuart HS, Student Commons
- Tuesday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m. at Westfield HS, Lecture Hall
- Thursday, Feb. 7, 7 p.m. at McLean HS, Cafeteria
- Saturday, Feb. 23, 1 p.m. at Falls Church HS, Little Theatre
Spanish and Korean interpreters will be available at each meeting.
