The long line at Jacob Horst’s stand is there for a number of reasons. The Trickling Springs dairy products may be the biggest draw, but Jacob also brings some of the finest grass-fed and free-range meats to our market: beef; pork; chicken, whole and parts; and rose veal, humanely raised and milk-fed. Safe, healthy and nutrient-dense, with nothing you wouldn’t want to be eating either.

Mehdi will have plenty of pumpkin ravioli; it is a great pasta for cool weather. You can serve it with Cavanna’s walnut sauce for a cozy comfort-food treat; with just a little good olive oil, garlic and sage; or in this recipe, which you can also pick up at the market.
