Centreville's Erin Meador had a great game last week against Chantilly, scoring 19 points in a losing effort, as the Wildcats fell to the Chargers 56-50. Meador's efforts earned her Centreville Patch's Athlete of the Week. “She’s tough because she’s wiry and she can play post she can play guard, so she’s always that kid I worry about,” said Chantilly Coach Valerie Allen regarding Meador. “You want to keep the ball out of her hands when you can.” Chantilly was unable to keep the ball out of Meador's hands early, and that led to Centreville grabbing the lead. The Chargers were able to clamp …
In a game against Woodson last week, Centreville starters Erin Meador and Taylor O'Hara were out with injuries. That didn't matter to Chaney Forbush. The junior scored 17 points, leading the Wildcats to a 54-52 win over the Cavaliers. Her efforts earned her Centreville Patch's Athlete of the Week. Centreville and Woodson went back and forth all night, but it was Forbush who gave the Wildcats control of the game in the third quarter. Woodson rallied to tie it, but Centreville was able to close the game out from the free-throw line. Forbush and the Wildcats return to action Friday, when they …

Smith fought out 88 tough yards on 17 carries against Robinson's stout defensive front last Friday, giving him a Northern Region-leading 1,375 for the year. His efforts also earned him Centreville Patch's Athlete of the Week. The Wildcats dug themselves an early hole, as Robinson took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Even with the Rams' defense loaded up to stop the run and playing with a bit more freedom with a comfortable lead, …
Isabella Medina came in fifth place at last week's Concorde District cross-country meet, leading the way for Centreville. Her efforts helped the Wildcats finish the meet third overall, and earned her Centreville Patch's Athlete of the Week honors. "On the girls' side this is huge because this is the second year in a row we will be advancing to the Northern Region championship," Centreville Coach Kelly Devlin said. "Last year was the first time in 10 years. So now we have got a tradition going on the girls' side, and it is a promising team." Medina completed the three-mile course just 14 …
