What you need to know today in Centreville.

It’s Tuesday, July 23. Here are five things you need to know. Tell us what we need to know on the Patch message board!

1. Weather Forecast: Patchy fog expected this morning, with a chance of thunderstorms during the day. See more from the National Weather Service.

2. You Said It: “Is this all you wanted to say about this topic????” — A post on our boards Monday discussed incarceration and race. Several comments (some more helpful than others) followed, including a spelling correction from another reader. That prompted the author to respond, “Donna, thanks. Is this all you wanted to say about this topic????” Donna replied, “Yep.”

3. ICYMI: Crime Map: Lottery Tickets and Jewelry Stolen, Wayward Cow — A visual representation of some of the most recent crimes reported in the Sully Police District.

4. Number of the Day: 12. That’s the age of young Lina Sbihi. The rising seventh grader at Gainesville Middle School won a gold medal in taekwondo this month in the  12-14 age division at the USA National Taekwondo Championship in Chicago. Manassas Patch has a video of a recent practice.

5. Today…in History: The Ford Motor Company sells its first car in 1903.
