Arlington National Cemetery to Host Easter Sunrise Service Sunday

The cemetery is hosting the service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

An Easter sunrise service will take place Sunday at 6:30 a.m. at Arlington National Cemetery’s Memorial Amphitheater

Sunrise on Easter Sunday is at 6:52 a.m. The weather forecast predicts a 50 percent chance of rain with a high of 59 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The service includes a performance by the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” and will be led by Chaplain (Brig. Gen.) Charles R. "Ray" Bailey, U.S. Army deputy chief of chaplain.

The service is nondenominational and open to the public. Gates open at 5:15 a.m., according to the cemetery. 

Parking is available at the cemetery’s visitor’s hall and at the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall parking lot.
