Babysitting, Woodwork and 'Jump Time'

Fun times for the family, all within a 20-minute drive.

Where/When?  Wed, Thu and Friday 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Why Go?  Pump It Up’s Open Jump time is a great physical, let it all hang out, time for children ages 2-10 (with an adult on premises). Think of how well they’ll sleep afterwards.

 Kid Science: Mirror, Mirror 

Where/When? Pohick Regional Library, Thursday March 10 at 10:30 a.m.

 Why Go? Science is cool, especially when you are four – six years old.  This event will have story and activities about mirrors.

Pricing? Free,  but registration is required.

 

Rocknoceros Family Happy Hour 

Where/When?  Friday March 11 at 7 p.m.

Why Go? Rockin’ out to Rocknoceros is a great way to start the weekend (especially one where we have to give back an hour)

Pricing? $10

 

Women Pioneers in Aviation, Science and Aerospace

When/Where? Udvar-Hazy, Saturday March 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go?  Women have made incredible contributions in aviation, science, and aerospace. Today’s the day to learn more about them..

This program is presented in partnership with the National Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital.  (In honor of Girl Scout Day, the Smithsonian is offering a discounted $5 rate for Girl Scouts and their families at the Airbus Imax Theater and Pulseworks flight simulators. )

Pricing? Admission is free, but parking is $15.

 

Woodworking – How and Why

Where/When? , Friday, Saturday and Sunday (March 11,12 and 13)

Why Go? Expert craftsmen at the Woodworking DIY show will have lots of hands on demonstrations for all ages.

Pricing? $10, but kids under 15 are free. Active Duty Police, Fire, Military free with ID. 

 

Ready to Enter the Babysitting Biz?

Where/When? , Saturday March 12 at 9 a.m.

Why Go? Get prepared to be the best babysitter you can be.  This American Red Cross course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, role-plays and lively discussions.  Great way to get started and prove you are ready.

Pricing? $75 (don't worry - you'll earn it back quickly)
