Jazz Festival, Starlight Cinema and Lego-mania
Something for everyone in the Centreville area this weekend.
Where/When? Gates open at 5075 Trinity Parkway on Saturday Aug 6 at 6 p.m; movie starts at approximately 8 p.m.
Why Go? Get ready for another season of Starlight Drive-in Cinema, brought to you by Fairfax County’s Sully District and a generous group of community supporters. The evening begins with an outdoor pre-movie program—music, food and children's activities. Then, at dark, the movies will start. This week's movie is Despicable Me.

Where/When? Paradise Springs Vineyard (13219 Yates Ford Rd, Clifton) on Friday, August 5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Why Go? The end of the week, time to take a deep breath and start to relax. It might help to have a glass of Paradise Springs wine ($1 off) or summer sangria to sip while you listen to Dave Pepper’s acoustic music on the beautiful winery lawn (or on the patio, if it’s raining).
Pricing? Admission is free; wine per glass plus bottles for sale.
Where/When? on Friday August 5 and Saturday August 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday August 7 at 2 p.m.

A full line-up of jazz musicians (including In Gratitude ~ A Tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire, Award winning Jazz Guitarist Drew Davidsen, X-Factors, Anita King and many more) who will keep you dancing (or at least toe-tapping) all day. Food, vendors, dancing and music: the ingredients for a perfect Saturday.

Where/When? on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday August 7 from 11 am to 4 p.m.
Why Go? Legos. Lots and lots of Legos. Really impressive Lego constructions. Mostly to look at, but they make a whole area available to make your own creations as well. Not to be missed: BrickFilms, created using either stop-motion or are digitally created in a computer.
Pricing? $10 adults, $7 children, $30 family of four
Where/When? on Monday, August 8 at 7 p.m.
Why Go? You (and your family) will be amazed as ringmaster Harold Wood becomes the circus before your very eyes. A fun night out for the whole family.
