Acoustic Shows at Paradise Springs

Where/When? Paradise Springs Winery on Friday, June 10 (5p.m. -9 p.m. ) and Saturday June 11 (3 p.m.-7 p.m.)

Why Go? Bring a picnic and relax on the lawn or the patio. Two delightful acoustic performers will entertain while you enjoy the ambience of Paradise Springs Winery. On Friday, Brian Franke will perform and on Saturday, Katie Ribik and Logan will take the stage.

Pricing? Admission is free, plus, on Friday, enjoy a $1 discount on your wine by the glass.

 

Where/When? Fairfax County Government Center on Friday, June 10 (6 p.m. to 12 a.m. ), Saturday, June 11 (10 a.m. to 12 a.m. ) and Sunday, June 12 (11 a.m. to 7 p.m. )

Why Go?  Great big party – with rides, food, music, hands-on activities and much, much more. And fireworks every night.  Headlines include Third Eye Blind starting things up on Friday, with the Bangles on Saturday and The Legwarmers on Sunday.

Pricing? Buy tickets online and save – all kinds of packages available on the website. Tickets can also be purchased at Wegman’s or at the gate.

 

Where/When? on Saturday, June 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Why Go? Super Science Saturdays happen once a month and the museum focuses on one-topic with demonstrations, hands-on activities and experts sharing their knowledge.  This month’s topic is communication:  learn about the science of sound, hear air traffic control feeds, CGI and animation, and hieroglyphics.

Pricing? Free admission; parking is $15

 

Where/When? on Sunday, June 12 at 2 p.m.

Why Go? Making ice cream the old-fashioned way – as well as learning about the role of the dairy farm and the ice house.

Pricing? Registration is required. $6 for county residents/$8 for non-residents
