Sign Language Santa Listens With Heart, Eyes: 2013 Review

We're publishing some of Centreville Patch's top stories.

One of the most heart-warming stories of 2013 was that of a very special visit from Santa Claus to deaf and hard-of-hearing children.

Santa Claus used American Sign Language to communicate with children from all over the Washington, D.C Metro who visited him at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax earlier this month.

Ashburn-based HIS Sign, provided sign language interpreting services during the event.  "It gives every child the opportunity to enjoy Santa," said Ron Burke, COO of HIS Sign.
