Superbowl Sunday, a Vodka Tasting and More

Fun things to do in and around Centreville.

It’s Thursday, and you need ideas on what to do for the weekend.

Centreville Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.

1. Vodka Tasting

Where/When?: Trummers On Main (Clifton)  6 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3.

Why Go?: Ordinarily Trummers on Main has a wine tasting on Thursday evenings. To shake things up a bit,  Trummers’ sommelier Tyler Packwood presents a vodka tasting. Not to be missed.

Pricing: $25 per person

 

2. Cover Story and Poker

Where/When?:  ,  Friday night

Why Go?: Two lucky choices – kick back (or kick up your heels) with the  Cover Story Band  at  9:30 p.m  and/or check out the Free Texas Hold’em at 7:00 p.m and 10:00 p.m.

Pricing: $10 cover – no charge for the poker

When/Where? l Cafeteria Saturday Feb 5 at 7:00 p.m.

Why Go? Informal and Fun! The Choral Cabaret is an annual event with two purposes – to showcase the considerable talents of the individual members of the Centreville HS choir and to raise funds for the program with a silent auction and raffle. Did we mention dessert will be served?

Pricing: $10 for adults/$5 for students

 

4. Year of the Rabbit

Where/When? Many choices

Why Go? Celebrate the Chinese New Year, the start of the year of the Rabbit. Try one of these local Chinese restaurants:  ,  or Sino’s Inn.

Pricing: Varies

 

5. Superbowl Sunday

Centreville Patch sports fans suggest , (all you can eat buffet with wings, calabmari, crispy/soft rolls, chicken lettuce cups and more)  or (they too have a big buffet deal and prizes) , plus Backyard Grill  in Chantilly as great places to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday. 

 

6.No Football?

To escape from the gridiron drama on Sunday, how about a movie at ?  No Strings Attached is playing or you can catch one of the Oscar nominees like The King’s Speech or Black Swan
