Tacos, Lullabies and Lions

Check out these events for kids in the area.

Where/When? Whole Foods (Fair Lakes) on Wednesday, March 16 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Why Go? Messy, yummy fun – tacos are delicious and making them at Whole Foods means they are just a notch healthier. Bonus: All proceeds benefit “The Whole Planet Foundation”.

The Lion in Winter

Where/When? , March 17, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m., March 19 and 20 at 2 p.m.

Why Go? The Lion in Winter by James Goldman is fast-paced and incredibly funny, this show has delighted family audiences for many years.

Pricing? $10, $15, $20 per person

 

Fishing at Walney Pond  

Where/When? on Saturday, March 19 at 9 a.m.

Why Go? Fishing! Plus a naturalist will be there to talk about all the flora and fauna in this favorite little pond.

Pricing? $6 for county residents and $8 for non-county residents. Registration is required  (bring your own pole and bait).

 

Where/WhenClaude Moore Recreation Center (46105 Loudoun Park Lane, Sterling) Saturday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go? Time to shake off winter and get your body busy. Hiking, biking, skating, canoeing, kayaking -demonstrations, free classes, and more.

Pricing? Free

 

Where/When? Manassas Battlefield Park on Sunday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 .m.

Why Go? Artillery drills (meaning muskets and and more noisy firearms) will be conducted on Henry’s Hill at Manassas Battlefield Park. Slip back in time and imagine the conflict that raged.
