The Ice Cream Race Is Coming to Centreville

A 5k obstacle course will be set up and participants will receive a T-shirt and ice cream; a portion of the profits will go to Special Olympics in Northern Virginia.

A sweet race is coming to Centreville's Bull Run Regional Park later this month.

The Ice Cream Race is designed for all ages and ability levels. Get read to “sweat your way to sweetness” through a 5k obstacle course while climbing, crawling, sliding, limboing and screaming for ice cream all the way to the finish line, organizers say.

It's fun for the whole family: Minimum age for the race is 5 years old.

Some of the obstacles in the race? Chocolate Syrup Water Slide, Endless Foam, Sticky Steeplechase, Limber Limbo, Hill of Tires, Cherry Juice Pit, Walls of Fun and more.

Runners will be awarded with ice cream and a custom-made “The Ice Cream Race” T-shirt when they cross the finish line.

Registration is $69 by June 15 and $79 after June 15. Group discounts are available.

A portion of the profits from The Ice Cream Race will benefit the Special Olympics in Northern Virginia. For more information visit www.TheIceCream Race.com or contact Max Bawarksi at (703) 593.3173 or max@theicecreamrace.com
