Korean festival, 80's flashbacks, Civil War encampment

Where/When?  (Walney Visitors Center – Amphitheatre) on Saturday, August 13  at 10 a.m.

Why Go? The “Overture to Orchestra” program continues and this week’s focus is the heartbeat of the orchestra,  percussion.  Children will be encouraged to become percussionists and feel the rhythm.

Pricing? Free

 

Where/When? on Saturday, August 13 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday, August 14 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Why Go? No better way to understand the conflict than to step back in time and relive a day or two. Civil war re-enactors will be camped out at Sully Historic Site.

Pricing?  $8/adult, $6/senior and child or two day ticket $14/adult, $10/senior and child

 

World National Wushu Kungfu Show

Where/When? G.M.U. Center for the Arts on Sunday, August 13 at 3 p.m.

Why Go?  The United States of America Wushu-Kungfu Federation and the O-Mei Wushu Kungfu Center present a never before seen Kungfu exhibition featuring the world's top Wushu Kungfu athletes performing dazzling aerobatics and fierce fighting routines .

Pricing? $20  to $40


Where/When? on Sunday, August 14 at 7 p.m. with movie starting at dark.

Why Go? The Korean-American Association of Northern Virginia presents an evening of Korean culture, featuring traditional and folk music and dance and ending the evening with a Korean movie

Where/When? Herndon Town Green (777 Lynn St) on Friday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Why Go?  This concert could be the highlight of the summer: 80’s Hair Band Tribute,  in full costume playing your favorites from Poison to Guns and Roses.
