Wines, Muskets and the Relay for Life

Busy weekend in and around Centreville

Where/When? on Saturday, June 4 (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sunday, June 5 (11 a.m to 5 p.m.)

Why Go?  Wine lover or not, this event is fun. Music, crafts, activities and yes, wine! Over 300 Virginia wines will be available for tasting and purchase. .

Where/When? Poplar Ford Park (6704 Bull Run Post Office Rd, Centreville) on Saturday, June 4 at 10 a.m.

Why Go? Kind of a get-to-know-you event by the Northern Virginia Radio Control club – they’ll be doing RC Flight Demos, Flight Simulators, Flight Training and more. Raffles and prizes – fun for the whole family.

Pricing? Free

 

 

Where/When? on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go?  Get ready for some noise! As part of the Living History program at the Manassas Battlefield National Park, demonstrations of artillery and musket firing will be held throughout the afternoon by knowledgeable re-enactors.

Pricing? Free

 

Where/When? on Saturday, June 4 beginning at 4 p.m.

Why Go? Cheer on the dedicated relay teams that walk the walk for 24 hours. Part party, part workout – all about finding a cure for cancer.  The Luminaria Ceremony at 9 p.m. is particularly beautiful and moving.
