Caring Hands Animal Hospital locations in Centreville and Prince William County are gearing up for Halloween and open house events on Oct. 27.
The events are from 11 to 2 p.m. at both locations with 100 percent of the proceeds going to local animal rescues, said Cassi Sharbaf of the Caring Hands Animal Hospitals. Four-legged and two-legged representatives from the Friends of Homeless Animals and Brew Beagle Rescue has already confirmed their attendance, she said. At least 200 people are expected to be in attendance. The event has been held for the last 16 years. Attendees can expect a raffle wheel, a pet costume contest and a silent auction. A "teddy bear" surgery will also performed. Caring Hands staff will also promote CHASE, the hospitals' trap and release group started earlier this year, Sharbaf said.
