Bikram Yoga Opening Studio in Centreville

Bikram Yoga Centreville will open in Centreville at 5673 Stone Road, Suite A in the spring, according to announcements by the business on its website, Twitter account and Facebook page.
Bikram (pronounced BEEK-rum) Yoga currently has seven studios in Northern Virginia, in Ashburn, Reston, Fairfax, Tysons, Falls Church, Alexandria and Arlington.
Bikram Yoga is a type of hatha yoga characterized by a set series of postures and breathing exercises, performed in a very hot room. It gets its name from yoga guru Bikram Choudhury, 65.

"It's about to get hot in Centreville," the Centreville Web site says. Classes are usually conducted in heated rooms with temperatures set from between 105-110 degrees and 40 percent humidity to allow muscles to loosen up and stretch.
