Westfields Marriott in Centreville Completes Renovations

The hotel is in the process of upgrading its fitness center.

An upscale hotel in the Centreville and Chantilly area has completed major renovations to many of its guest rooms, meeting rooms and lobby.

The 40,000 square feet Westfields Marriott Conference Center on Conference Drive revamped 20 of its guest rooms and 31 meeting rooms so it could more readily accommodate guests of the Washington D.C. metro.

“We want to make business and social events easy to plan, productive to run and enjoyable to attend at our Virginia conference center. Our changes increase flexibility and accessibility and amplify the charm and sophistication of the hotel’s overall aesthetic,” Scott McClinton, general manager of the hotel said in a release issued Wednesday.

Twenty of the hotel's guest rooms have been revamped into "business boost" guest rooms. All are on the third floor and have easier access to the Palm Court, a club-like private room where brunch and breakfast are served. The rooms also offer premium amenities such as 47-inch High Definition televisions and well-stocked refrigerators.

Marriott shows its dedication to the business travel class by making its hotel information and services available on mobile applications such as Red Coat Direct, an application for meeting organizers, Workspace on Demand which allows meeting spaces to be book in the same way as a guest room and mobile check-in which allows guests to know when their room is ready.

The hotel's new restaurant and public house, the Wellington, is the hotel's new main attraction. The Wellington's Executive Chef Todd Schofield created a menu of shared plates with a local flare and large entrées topped off with craft beers, wines and mixed drinks.

Hotel staff said the renovations to its fitness center are also almost complete.

Will you lodge or plan a wedding or event at the newly-renovated Westfields Marriott?
