RSVP Emergency Preparation Volunteer Orientation

SPOTLIGHT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: EMERGENCY PREPARATION VOLUNTEER

Are you interested in volunteering to help prepare our communities

in preparation for an emergency or disaster? Please join us on Tuesday,

December 17, 2013 at 2:30 PM
at the Central Library in Arlington for

a special Volunteer Orientation where you will have the opportunity to learn

about becoming an Emergency Response Volunteer. We will have the Emergency

Response Volunteer Coordinators from Fairfax, Arlington and Alexandria so you

can learn about the volunteer roles in each community.

RSVP-Northern Virginia engages persons

55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs while

providing a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the

volunteers.  RSVP recruits volunteers,

assesses their availability, and then matches their interests, skills and

experience with the best volunteer placement. As an added benefit to

volunteers, RSVP members are eligible to receive mileage and meal

reimbursement, supplemental insurance while serving, and ongoing group service

and recognition events. RSVP- Northern Virginia is sponsored by Volunteer

Fairfax in partnership with Volunteer Alexandria and Volunteer Arlington.
