                                         The Sermon in Music



                                         December 15, 2013



   At the 9:30 and 11:00 services on Sunday, December 15, Centreville UMC’s Chancel Choir; Jubilation and Rejoicing Ringers (handbell choirs); and guest instrumentalists - harp, flute, oboe, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, and timpani - will present a service of anthems, hymns, and scripture based on the Magnificat (the Song of Mary).

   Music for the services will include a choral setting of the Magnificat by contemporary composer Mark Hayes; And the Glory of the Lord from Handel’s “Messiah”; Of the Father’s Love Begotten rung by Jubilation; O Come, Little Children played by Rejoicing Ringers, and O Come, All Ye Faithful for congregation, choir, and instruments.
