Annual Smithsonian Air and Space Family Day

Great way to spend a day on Father's Day weekend learning about planes.

This Saturday, June 16 is the Become a Pilot Family Day and Aviation Display.  Airplanes will be flying in to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.  The event is from 10 am to 3pm.

There are lots of airplanes and fun things to do. This is the one time of year that you can go outside on the runway to see the airplanes and the airport fire trucks.

Some of the airplanes you can go inside. You can also talk to the pilots and get tours. There will be some big military airplanes.

It will be lots of fun. There is free admission, but they do charge for parking.

This is a great event to do on Father's Day weekend.

For more information visit the Become a Pilot Family Day and Aviation Display website.

Marine One was there and we even got to take pictures with the President's pilots. This was another great event in our local community. Check out our pictures at http://www.facebook.com/CaringKidsCards
