Cox Employees Donate Gifts to Children in Foster Care

Find how many gifts were donated to children in Fairfax County.

Cox Communications employees working in Fairfax County showed their compassion for children in the local foster care system this week by giving them Christmas presents.
The foster care division of Fairfax County Department of Family Services distributed 137 gifts from Cox employees to 58 children in the foster care system, said Jessica Carver, public relations manager for Cox Communications.

Infants and children as old as 18 end up in the foster care system because they are in need of a safe home.

"... Unless gifts are donated to the program, many of these youths will not receive any holiday gifts at all and need everything from winter clothes to educational toys. Cox Virginia employees share the company’s belief that helping our communities is one of the most important things we can do all year long,"  Carver said.
