Joyous Reunion: NICU "Graduates" Invited Back to Inova Fair Oaks Hospital

Fair Oaks Hospital is preparing to host a very unique event.

Children who spent their earliest days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Fair Oaks Hospital are invited back to see the staff members who  watched over and cared for them when they needed it the most.

The hospital is hosting a reunion celebration on Sept. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Navy Elementary School for the "graduates" of the NICU and their families. The event offers a unique opportunity for the children to reunite with the physicians and nursing staff and show them what progress they've made since they left the ward.
Hospital staff said they are arranging for the photos and the stories of each child's journey to be shared.
The reunion will feature a carnival theme with kid-friendly games, a robot and puppeteer.
