Alexander Anthony Steele Gioeli, of Clifton, passed away on Monday, May 28 at the age of 22. Born in Fairfax to parents John and Georgeana, Gioeli attended and went on to study psychology at . In addition to being an active member of Unity Church and an Eagle Scout, Gioeli was a passionate pianist and percussionist who wrote his own music and often performed in concerts. He also had a strong desire to be unique and could be spotted around Centreville High wearing a fedora.

Gioeli is survived by his parents, stepmother LeAnne Gioeli, stepfather Dean Armbruster, brother Justin, stepsister Melissa, stepbrother Christopher and 18 first cousins.  

Visitations were held for Gioeli at  June 1st and 2nd. A memorial service was also held on June 2. Flowers may be given to Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home in Gioeli’s name. Kathleen Mary Johnson

Born: Oct. 11, 1921

Died: May 28, 2012

Date of Memorial Service: Saturday, June 2 (visitation), Sunday, June 3 (visitation) & Monday, June 4 (service) 

Kathleen Mary Johnson, of Centreville, passed away on Monday, May 28 at the age of 90. A New York native, Johnson graduated from St. Brendan’s High School in Brooklyn in 1940. Two years later, she began working as an administrative assistant for the United States Navy at Floyd Bennet Field and was later transferred to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where she met her husband, Commander Charles Frederick Johnson. After their marriage on July 27, 1957, Johnson and her husband raised their four children in Rockville Centre, N.Y. In 1980, the couple retired to Northern Va. Johnson resided in Centreville for the last 20 years.  

Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, two sisters and grandson, Christopher Downing. She is survived by her children, Stephen Johnson and Jane Downing of Centreville, Joan Goldfield of Leesburg and Marie Marcoux of Cumming, Ga., her grandchildren, Ashley and Amanda Fisher, Kristen, Kevin and Brian Downing, Kevin, Alison and Matthew Goldfield, and her great-grandson, Andrew.  

Visitations were held for Johnson at  on June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at  on Monday, June 4. Johnson will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 18 at 3 p.m.

James Anthony Molinari

Born: Aug. 22, 1930

Died: May 28, 2012

Date of Memorial Service: Thursday, May 31 (visitation) & Friday, June 1 (service) 

James Anthony Molinari, of Centreville, passed away on Monday, May 28 at at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife, Merry, daughters, Linda and Meredith Molinari, Donna Runnels, Angela Contreras and Kristina O’Boyle and six grandchildren, Alexandra, Samantha, Gregory, Danielle, Grace and Scarlett. 

A visitation was held for Molinari at  on Thursday, May 31st and funeral services were held at  on June 1st. Molinari was laid to rest at Quantico National Cemetery. It is requested that donations be made to favorite veteran’s charities in memory of James Molinari in lieu of flowers. 

John Johnson

Born: Sept. 14, 1940

Died: May 30, 2012

Date of Memorial Service: Monday, June 4 (visitation) & Tuesday, June 5 (service) 

John Johnson passed away on Wednesday, May 30 at at the age of 71. A lifelong resident of the Northern Virginia area, Johnson was a member of Grace Life Community Church in Bristow and attended . He began working in the construction industry in the early ‘50s and owned J&H Drywall, Inc. 

Johnson is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Henry and Mary Louise (Beck) Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Anne Geller Johnson, daughter, Tammy Johnson and her husband, Lt. Col. Bill Johnson of Tampa, Fla., two sisters, Ouida Howard of Strasburg and Judy Hill of Conifer, Colo., and five grandchildren.  

A visitation was held for Johnson on June 4 at  and services were held on June 5 at Grace Life Community Church. Johnson was laid to rest at . Contributions may be made in John Johnson’s name to the Salvation Army, 2626 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20037. 

Kevin Patrick Craddock

Born: May 16, 1948

Died: June 5, 2012

Date of Memorial Service: Friday, June 8 (visitation) & Saturday, June 9 (service) 

Kevin Patrick Craddock, of Clifton, passed away on June 5 at the age of 64. Originally hailing from Long Island, Craddock is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathleen (Huether), sons Christopher (Stephanie) and Sean (Christine), daughter Karen Spicer (Christian), grandchildren Christian, Cole and James, sisters Kathleen and Maureen, brother Michael, and many nieces and nephews.  

A visitation was held for Craddock on June 8 at  and a Mass of Christian Burial was held at , on Saturday, June 9. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or AAA Women for Choice, Manassas in lieu of flowers.
