Crime Blotter: Man Charged With Assaulting Rescue Officer, Wallet Stolen at Home

Burglary (blue on map): A resident on the 5600 block of Thorndyke Court reported on May 10 at 4:55 p.m. that someone entered the home and stole several items, including a wallet. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
Assault (red on map): An officer found a man who appeared intoxicated and injured near Centreville Road and Machen Road, on May 11 at 4:15 a.m. Rescue personnel responded to examine and transport him. Police said he became combative and assaulted the rescue officer. Police charged Oscar Romer, 18, Chantilly, with being drunk in public and assault.
