Crime Report: Centreville Man Charged with Resisting Arrest

A Centreville man was charged with resisting arrest and making an improper turn Wednesday.
At 10:30 p.m., an officer stopped a car for a traffic violation on the 6000 block of Billingsgate Lane in Centreville. The driver refused to sign the traffic summons and refused to get out of the car, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The officer broke a window and put the man, Kevin Christopher Sweeney, 28, under arrest, police said.
Larcenies that occurred on Wednesday, Oct. 23:
5400 block of Chandley Farm in Centreville: a license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle
4700 block of Pleasant Valley Road in Chantilly: golf clubs were reported stolen from vehicle
