Fill the Boot: Centreville Firefighters Raise Money for Muscular Dystrophy Research

Centreville firefighters raised money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association this weekend.

Fairfax County firefighters turned out in full force this month to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Fill the Boot Campaign.

No matter what cities and towns residents traveled to over the Labor Day holiday, they surely saw firefighters at traffic intersections collecting money inside their fire boots.

Raising money to combat neuromuscular diseases is something firefighters in the US and Canada have been doing for the past 60 years.

On Sunday, Northern Virginia's Muscular Dystrophy Association Ambassador, Joshua Jurack dropped by to support the firefighters of the Centreville Volunteer Fire Department  as they collected money at the corner of Route 29 and Stone Road in Centreville.
