Man Arrested for Malicious Wounding on Thanksgiving Day

Michael Keith Rothwell, 26, of Centreville, is being held without bond in Prince William County.

Prince William County Police arrested a Centreville man early on Thanksgiving morning for maliciously wounding an acquaintance. 

Police arrived at the 7500 block of Kimberton Ct. in Manassas shortly at 5:49 a.m. on Thursday, where they arrested Michael Keith Rothwell, 26, on charges of malicious wounding, according to Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

The victim, a 26-year-old Sterling man, told police that he and Rothwell were arguing when Rothwell allegedly struck the victim several times. He allegedly caused minor injuries to the victim, who was a known acquaintance, according to police. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Rothwell, of 5483 Braddock Ridge Dr in Centreville, was arrested without further incident, police said. He is being held without bond until his court date on Jan. 17th, 2012.
