Man Charged With Taking Indecent Liberties With a Child

The following information was provided by the Fairfax County Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

Indecent liberties: Mario Ramirez Ipina, 52, of 14439 Saguaro Place in Centreville, was arrested on Thursday, January 12 and charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. An investigation determined he exposed himself to two girls, seven and eight years old, and touched himself inappropriately.   

Homicide: Fairfax County Police are investigating an apparent homicide that occurred in the 5900 block of Gunther Court in the Centreville area. Fairfax County sheriff’s deputies requested officers respond to the address around 1:27 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, after a man walked into the Pre-Release Center and reported a woman inside the Gunther Court home was deceased. Responding officers located the deceased woman inside the home with trauma to her upper body. 

Further investigation led to the arrest of the man, . The victim has been identified as Ryah Leslie, 22, of the same address. The victim and suspect were roommates. This investigation is ongoing. This is the first homicide in Fairfax County this year.     

Carjacking: Police were called to the United States Post Office, located at 5616 Ox Road, around 5 p.m. on Friday, January 13, for a reported carjacking. An investigation determined Abdullah Alghamdi, 21, of 8721 Bitterroot Circle in Lorton, was involved in a domestic altercation with a family member near the post office. He fled the vehicle and ran to the post office where he encountered a 60-year-old man entering his 2003 Subaru Outback. Alghamdi reportedly forced the victim out of his car before driving away in it. A warrant was obtained and on Saturday, January 14, around 4:45 a.m. Alghamdi was located and taken into custody in Arlington County. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with carjacking. The vehicle was later located in a parking lot at Dulles International airport.

14200 block of Sullyfield Circle, keys and gym bag stolen from business 

Vehicle thefts: Oday Drive and Woodgate Manor Circle, Honda stolen
