Motorcyclist Dies After Collision With Deer
Timothy Ray Schleeter, 50, died after his motorcycle hit a deer on Compton Road.
Fairfax County Police say that a man died on Compton Road last week after his motorcycle hit a deer.
Timothy Ray Schleeter, 50, of Old Glebe Road in Arlington was riding a 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he hit a deer on Aug. 24 shortly before 8 p.m.
The accident occurred on Compton Road near the intersection of Balmoral Forest Road, in the Clifton area. The deer struck the motorcycle on the left side as Schleeter was traveling westbound, police said, and he then hit the pavement and slid off the road to the right.

Schleeter was medevaced to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead on Aug. 25 around 1 p.m.
