Police Find Over 100 Violations During Truck Inspections on Lee Highway

Officers from the Motor Carrier Safety Section on Wednesday inspected 27 trucks Tuesday, and took 13 out of service.

Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department's Motor Carrier Safety Section surprised truck drivers with random safety inspections in Centreville on Tuesday.  

Police stopped 27 trucks on the 15100 block of Lee Highway. They found 104 violations, and took 13 trucks out of service, according to a police press release.

Police officers made out 30 out of service violations, including 20 tickets.

Officers with the Motor Carrier Safety Section generally conduct these typse of safety inspections a few times a year to make sure trucks meet all federal and local requirements.
