School Buses Catch Fire at Chantilly-Area School

No injuries were reported.

Two school buses caught fire just after midnight Wednesday morning at Westfield High School in Chantilly, Fairfax County fire officials said. 

The buses were unoccupied when they caught fire while parked in a storage bus lot near the high school located at 4700 Stonecroft Boulevard. 

When firefighters arrived, there was a fully-involved fire in one of the buses, but crews were able to bring it under control in about 20 minutes.

There were no injuries, but one bus was destroyed and the other heavily damaged.  Losses total more than $160,000, fire officials said. 

Fire officials haven't said if the fire is suspicious. A cause is still under investigation.
