Traffic Returning to Normal After Fuel Spill at Beltway
Update on the accident that had backed up cars for miles on I-66 near I-495.
Some Centreville commuters may have ended the work week with a lot more time spent in the car on the way home.
An accident caused a fuel spill at I-66W, near I-495, according to VDOT, and caused major delays. The fuel spill blocked all I-66 westbound lanes temporarily and backed up cars for miles in the early afternoon. Things have since returned to normal, McLean Patch reports, and there were no serious injuries in the accident.
