Clean Sweep for Allen in Centreville Precincts

, the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, had no problem winning over Centreville voters on Wednesday—the few that actually went to the polls, that is. 

The turnout was lackluster, but not unexpected for a primary election, which typically attracts only the most politically involved voters. Most political observers expected Allen, the former governor of Virginia, to win the GOP Senate nomination due to his greater name recognition, despite facing three contenders. His main, but limited, opposition came from Jamie Radtke, . In the 11th congressional district, Ken Vaughn won two of the Centreville precincts, while Chris Perkins took the rest.
