Each day will focus on a different public health issue.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has declared April 2-8 "National Public Health Week."

The county joined many other localities, employers and universities in observing the week. Each day will focus on a different health issue:

  • Monday, healthy living
  • Tuesday, tobacco and drug-free living, along with alcohol abuse prevention
  • Wednesday, communicable diseases
  • Thursday, reproductive and sexual health
  • Friday, mental and emotional well-being

More information on the county's participation in National Public Health Week is available online.
