The US food stamp program went from $28- $33 billion the last 4 years of the Bush administration ($5 billion increase). Under Obama, it has gone from $33- $75 billion in 3 years ($42 billion increase). Just think if that money was used for education and jobs instead.

The food stamp expenditures increased due to the recession, which started under Bush. To claim that it's a result of Obama's policies is simply foolish.

Well, I know I'll be stuck in my neighborhood for hours until the traffic resolves. Logistics getting past CVHS are bad enough on Homecoming!

Andy, thanks for your response. How nice to see someone who understands that one needs to research, read and understand what is going on instead of believing what they hear on TV or radio talking heads.

Wall Street Journal did the research. We recovered from all of the 11 recessions that the US has had since World War 2 within 3 years - accept the Obama recession. And the worse recession we had in 1979 we recovered from even faster. If the Democrats win, they will still be blaming Bush for their extension of the recession in four more years. And our grandchildren will pay for in for 40 years.

"If I can't solve the recession in three years I'll be a one term President," Obama in 2009

oh and when is the President going to act like a President and take responsibility for his actions..
Kathy Walters July 16, 2012 at 02:06 AM
I'm with you Mark. He doesn't want the Country recover. If it does, he won't be able to put everyone on the Government payroll and have the dictatorhip he and the liberal progressives have dreamed of since the '60's. These people who think Obama is the second coming should really do some searching and reading of their own. They believe whatever the talking heads on TV tell them and refuse to look anything up to see if they're LYING to them....Like Obama does every time he opens his mouth. Really...learn to watch what the hands are doing while the mouth is moving.
