'Snowtober'? Freeze Warning for Fairfax County

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Sunday.

The weather is getting spooky this Halloween weekend as snow and sleet appear early in Fairfax County. 

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. Sunday. Temperatures will be in the mid-20s to low 30s. There's also a 30 percent chance that the area may see some light snow showers and flurries, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service

Snow in October is rare in the D.C. region, but not unprecedented

On the bright side, things should clear up with a sunny, 50 degree Sunday. But trick-or treaters will have to bundle up on Monday: with evening temperatures at 34 degrees, it's going to be a chilly Halloween.
