Clifton resident Dylan Essandoh earned the Most Improved Student Award in pre-Algebra this summer during a camp held in Front Royal.
Dylan, now a seventh grader, attended the Randolph-Macon Academy's summer academic camp for rising sixth and eighth graders, according to a ReadMedia release.
He is the son of Patrick Essandoh and Aretha Kestemont, both of Clifton.
Randolph-Macon is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in sixth through 12 grades. The school is affilated with the United Methodist Church.
