FCPS Starts 'Fit in Fairfax' Project

The project aims to promote wellness for FCPS students.

Fairfax County Public Schools recently received a three-year grant designed help to increase nutrition and physical activity education.

The Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) grant from the U.S. Department of Education that will fund the Living Fit in Fairfax project, according to a press release from FCPS.

The project's goals are to increase healthy eating and participation in physical activities. Schools will implement online fitness planning for students to encourage their progress. Schools involved will also monitor nutrition logs.
