Pretty in Pink: Centreville High's Lady Wildcats Score

Team win 4-0 playing Robinson; now 10-6 and heading to district playoffs.

The Centreville High School field hockey team had a large turn-out for their "Play 4 the Cure" game in which they hosted Robinson High School. The stadium was decorated with pink balloons and the crowds were large, festive and wearing pink, while the athletes were playing for the cure.

All the proceeds from the gate, T-shirt sales and pink hair extensions went to breast cancer research. It was also a special night for the Lady Wildcats, as they honored their seniors: Gabby Dagata, Lindsay Egbers, Megan Kruse, Brooke Peterson, Shannon O'Donnell and Carly Sane.

CVHS did not disappoint their fans and posted a 4-0 win, with two goals coming from Lindsay Egbers, while Carly Sane and Katherine Zempolich each added a goal. Katherine Zempolich also helped the cause with two assists and Gabby Dagata also had an assist.
