Undefeated: Centreville Wildcats Snag Championship Win

Despite some changes in their practice schedule leading up to the big game, the Wildcats walked away with victory on Saturday.

They did it. "They" being the Wildcats of Centreville High School, who walked away with a 35-6 victory over opponent Oscar Smith High School in the Virginia 6A Championship game on Saturday.

The win means the Centreville varsity football team has a perfect 2013 season with a record 15 wins and zero losses, the Washington Post reported

Saturday's game began just after 4 p.m. in the pouring, cold rains in Charlottesville at the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium.

Before long, Centreville was up 14-0 thanks to two touchdowns—the first compliments of AJ Turner, the second from Xavier Nickers-Yzer, according to the post.

The Tigers, who defeated the Wildcats two years ago in the state championship game, managed to post up six points, but in the end, it just wasn't enough to pull off a second victory.

The Wildcats went on to win big and score 29 unanswered points for the title.
