Centreville High Grad Ken Ekanem's Virginia Tech Team Plays Today

Summer’s not even done cooking yet, but already it’s time for college football. Virginia’s teams are nowhere to be found among the top college football rankings, but that’s why they play the games, right?

The college betting lines, predictably, aren’t showing a lot of hope for Virginia Tech, 18-point underdogs to No. 1 Alabama. (See the game on ESPN at 5:30 Saturday.)

Virginia’s an underdog, too, but by only a field goal, to Brigham Young. (Game time is 3:30, and it’s on ESPN2.)

Keep an eye out for the local guy—Centreville High graduate Ken Ekanem is a sophomore on the Virginia Tech Hokies team this year. 

He's jersey No. 4 and will hard to miss at 6'3 and 249 pounds.
