As a proud Wesfield parent ...sorry for this loss... a shame but what's even more of a shame is that when a team WINS there is no mention - Weatfiield Boys Indoor Track team of the 4 x 4 and 4 x 8 relay team WON STATES last weekend at Boo Stadium in Newport News and the previous weekend the entire Westfield Boys Indoor Track Team WON REGIONALS...even when this team WINS no mention - now that is a real shame!!!

Hi Hanne, You are welcome to send myself (mary.stachyra@patch.com) or Todd Smith (tsmitty71@gmail.com) any information or photos about the track team's victory last weekend, and any meets next season, as I mentioned in reply to your post earlier this week. Please understand that we have a small staff and could not send a reporter down to Hampton. We rely on coaches and dedicated parents like to yourself to help us obtain information in a timely manner in these types of cases. Our reporter reached the coach a few days ago and the information about the track team's victory will be in our weekly Westfield sports recap, which will run early next week. If you have any additional questions, please send me an email. Mary
