Home 4 the Holidays: A Mega Pet Adoption Event

The eighth annual Home 4 the Holidays event is taking place Saturday, November 5 at Reston Town Center. Several hundred pets will be on site, hoping to find forever homes.

The winter holidays are fast approaching, which means it’s that time of year again. GoodDogz.org is presenting its eighth annual super pet adoption event on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Reston Town Center. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and has something for everyone.

If you are currently searching for a pet, there will be over 40 animal rescue groups in attendance. That’s right – 40. Dogs as far as the eye can see! Cats too! You are sure to find your new furry friend here and adoption counselors will be on hand to answer any questions and even conduct on the spot interviews for potential adopters.

In addition to available pets, many vendors will be showing off a wide range of pet products from personalized collars to apparel to breed specific art work. Best of all, your pet is welcome to join you as you browse among the displays. Even if you think you are not looking for a pet, it doesn’t hurt to walk around and meet the animals. You never know what might happen. Just remember to watch where you step.

Many services will also be on site to offer information about their organizations.  Several veterinary clinics will be represented, as well as pet sitting companies and dog groomers. Once again, Santa Paws will be making an appearance, so you may want to dress your pets in their holiday finest.

The event is free and open to the public. For event details, including the exhibitor list and ways you can help, visit GoodDogz.org.
