Virginia Run Turkey Trot, Free Pho for Veterans and Tailgate at Bull Run Winery

Free Meals to Veterans-Pho Aura Cafe in Centreville is offering a free lunch to Veterans today. The first round of drinks at dinner is also on the restaurant, which is located at 5037 Westfields Blvd. 

Mount Vernon Offers Free Admission to Veterans-
Active duty, former and retired military personnel get free admission to George Washington's Mount Vernon today. Here's a schedule of events at Mount Vernon.

Fairfax City Veterans Day Service There will be a Veterans Day Service in Fairfax City from 10 to 11:30 a.m. today at the City Hall Veterans Amphitheater, 10455 Armstrong St. The event is sponsored by VFW Post 8469 and American Legion Post 177.
 
Emmie The Clown Thanksgiving Party-Emmie the Clown will host a Thanksgiving party at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Chantilly Chick-fil-A. 

Virginia Run Turkey Trot-
Reminder to register for the 25th Annual Virginia Run Turkey Trot held at 8 a.m. on Nov. 28. Organizers say registration for the event will close when it reaches 4,000 participants, and 2500 have already registered. Registration is $30 until Nov. 27. The companion 2K run is $20. No refunds.   Online registration is here.  All proceeds from the race benefit the organization, Life With Cancer. 

Sensory Friendly Santa Visit for Children with Autism- The Real Housewives of Northern Virginia blog is hosting its annual sensory-friendly Santa visit from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Fair Oaks Mall. Tickets to the free event are now sold out, but this is a reminder for ticket holders to attend the event. 
 
Textbooks Africa-Textbooks Africa's Books and Notes Tailgate Festival is Sunday at noon at the Bull Run Winery in Centreville. Textbooks Africa is a 501c3 non-profit organization that collects and ships textbooks, library books and supplies to school children and teachers in Africa. The event is hosted with former Washington Redskins player Clinton Portis and features music by the Gregg Byrd Band. A ticket for the event includes a barbecue dinner from Bad to the Bone and a beverage, a silent auction and a meet and greet with Portis. VIP tickets are $100, patron tickets are $40 and children's tickets are $20.  Purchase at textbooksafrica.org/events/
